Integrity and Transparency Matters
We must do better at vetting our leaders
In a community like ours, where past scandals still linger and questions swirl about how we hire and hold leaders accountable, vetting matters. For too long, Geary County has brought people into key roles — and even elected them — with little real scrutiny of their background or past performance. We all see it. They talk about big promises, big salaries, and disappointing results, especially when it comes to supporting our small businesses and holding taxpayer dollars accountable.
I’m not a career politician — I’m a small business owner here in the Geary County and a former business banker with decades of experience reviewing financials, making tough lending decisions, and getting results. I’ve successfully pushed legislation through Topeka, and I’ve built a reputation for getting tough things done. I don’t need to run for County Commission. I’m choosing to step away from my business and dedicate that time to fixing what’s broken because I care about this community’s future.
Real leadership starts with integrity and transparency. Before we hand someone an important elected seat, we owe it to taxpayers to thoroughly vet their record. I’m asking for your vote because I’m focused on doing what’s right for everyone — not personal gain. Those that look to serve in government should solve problems, not create new opportunities for self-enrichment.
My name is David Schneider (ABOUT DAVE), and with your help, we will make Geary County the pride of the Flint Hills Region.
