David P. Schneider

David Schneider brings a wealth of experience:
Business Acumen: As the owner of an insurance claims inspection business and a former business banker, Schneider understands the critical role small businesses play in driving local economic growth.
Financial Expertise: With 18 years in the banking industry, Schneider has a deep understanding of financial management and economic development.
Community Service: Schneider recently retired from the non-profit group, Citizens for Self-Governance, Convention of States Project, where he served as the Regional Director and the first Kansas State Director. Since 2013, he has been advocating for constitutional reform, state rights, and building engaged citizen-led coalitions, successfully passing legislation in six different states throughout the Midwest.
David is deeply rooted in the community living in rural Milford. His wife, Cecilia, is a social worker at Fort Riley, overseeing the Family Advocacy Program at Irwin Army Community Hospital and serving as a first responder for child protection services and domestic violence. Together, they are committed to making a positive impact in their community with integrity and a vision for Kansas.
Together, they have six children, three of whom work in Kansas public schools, reinforcing their dedication to public education. Two of their children are graduates of Emporia State University, with another a graduate of Kansas State University, highlighting their support for higher education in the Flint Hills.
David Schneider is a graduate of Fort Hays State University, where he excelled as a varsity wrestler. He grew up in Arkansas City, Kansas, and is a part of their wrestling dynasty, capturing the Kansas state championship all four years.
After college, David was recruited to work in the banking industry, leading to banking career spanning 18 years and taking him all the way to Wisconsin to become a District Vice President for CitiFinancial (overseeing nine branches for the company), and then back to Kansas as business banker in 2013. Soon after returning to Kansas, David began working with Convention of States, and rose to become a Regional Director helping seven states pass the organization’s signature legislation calling for Term Limits on Congress as well as a Federal Balanced Budget Amendment.
David operates a small insurance inspection company he opened in 2024, where he works with all major insurance carriers in the area as a certified damage inspector. He also continues to help non-profits organize in Topeka to ensure their voices are heard. He is the President of a non-profit he founded in 2020 named Rising States of America, and continues to fight for constitutional rights.
David is a 34 year member of the Knights of Columbus and a lifetime member of the Kansas Rifle Association. In 2024, David was elected to serve on the Republican Party state committee and also serves as the Milford Township Republican Committeeman.
